Kane Ella began as a simple idea — to bring the comfort, flavour, and warmth of true Sri Lankan food into a space where everyone feels at home. What started as a small vision grew into a heartfelt journey, inspired by the recipes we grew up with, the aromas from our mothers’ kitchens, and the joy of sharing a good meal with the people we love.

How Kane Ella Started

We wanted to create a place that felt familiar yet fresh. A place where traditional Sri Lankan flavours are celebrated, not changed. From yellow rice cooked the way our grandparents made it, to sambols, curries, and sweet treats crafted with love — every dish carries a story from our island’s food heritage.
